ciao a tutti.
I will inform you about the basic
procedures necessary to be completed in order to open a Current Account,
Deposit Account, Savings Account and/or Payment Card at our Bank.
Set of bank forms necessary to be completely filled and signed for
opening of a private account are:
– Current/Savings/Deposit/Card Account agreement;
– Authorised Signature Sample card;
– Client’s Questionnaire;
– Client Form;
– Online Banking Connection application.
The mandatory documents are:
– A NOTARISED and APOSTILLED copy of the officially recognised ID
document in your residence country (passport preferably).
According to the Parex banka policy, signature of the client opening an
account remotely HAS TO BE NOTARISED and APOSTILLED.
This can be done in two ways:
– Filling out the Authorised Signature Sample card completely and
getting it NOTARISED and APOSTILLED, or
– Notarising your signature by the Notary Public and getting the
Apostille on the issued document with a statement – “I, ….., confirm
the signature of …… identified by passport (or other ID document)
Nr. 123456, issued by ……, on ……, with expiration date on ….. , a copy of
which is attached hereto.â€
Thus, in both ways, the copy of the ID document will be Notarised and
Apostilled itself as it was used for identification of the client (i.e.
You).
Notarisation has to be made in English or, should this be impossible,
officially translated to English language. Please note that the Bank’s
documentation is maintained only in Latvian, Russian and English languages.
If you are not familiar with the term “Apostille†and you would like to
get some detailed information about it, you could take a look at the
website:
http://www.am.gov.lv/en/belgium/consular-information/Legalization-Certification/
FYI: An Apostille is the official state certification of the
notarisation that makes notarised documents legally valid in all member
countries of the Hague Convention, which abolishes the requirement for
the legalisation of public documents.
The cost of Current Account opening remotely consists of:
– The account opening fee for Current account + Saving/Deposit account (25 USD);
– Digipass device (50 USD) necessary for unlimited remote/online banking;
– Costs of courier delivery of the account package with copies of
agreements, manuals and Code Card/Digipass device is at least 100 USD
depending on the courier (payable upon delivery or taken out of your
current account).
FYI: For restricted online banking with 5,000 LVL (ca. 9,000 USD) or
other currency equivalent one-time transaction limit and 15,000 LVL (ca.
27,000 USD) or other currency equivalent daily transaction limit, a Code
Card (plastic card with a set of fixed authorisation codes) is offered
free of charge.
Current Accounts at Parex banka are multi-currency and you can have as
many as 27 currencies under one Current Account number. Besides, since
the January 1st, 2005 Parex banka has been using IBAN (International
Bank Account Number) account system making it faster, easier and cheaper
for our clients to make the transfers to and from their accounts.
In addition, if you would like to apply for a debit or credit card, you
should fill out one more form:
– Application for the opening of a VISA, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa
Electron, Cirrus and/or Visa Virtual card account and card issuance.
Please be informed that a half of the guarantee deposit will be used as
an authorised credit amount on the credit card!
If you are applying for the credit card only, there is the same
procedure and the same set of bank forms to be filled out as for the
Current Account opening, only the Current Account agreement shall be
replaced with the Application for the card. The same set of documents
has to be provided and your signature still HAS TO BE NOTARISED AND
APOSTILLED!
More detailed information about the Payment Cards, including the cost
and information about security deposits for our credit cards is
available on the following website:
http://www.parexgroup.com/services/cards.html
Any further information about other Parex banka products and services is
available at:
http://www.parexgroup.com/en/services
Regarding the corrections: Please, pay your attention that the Bank’s
Application and other forms are official documents. Please, do not cross
mark the text and do not use the white corrector! If you wish to make
changes, please rewrite the whole page!
Finally, the most important Parex banka service that I would like to
emphasise here, is that you will have your own English/Russian speaking
account manager who you can contact for help with the most of your
questions or problems.
Should you have any other questions or comments, please do not hesitate
to contact me.
NB: If you decided to become a Parex banka client, please fill out the
Client Questionnaire and Client Form in the attachment and
return them back to me via fax or e-mail, along with your passport copy
in order to commence with the pre-approval procedure at our Bank. In an
effort to save your time and money we do not request Notarisation and
Apostillisation of the documents before you have been approved!
Once you will receive the information about your approval status, I will
ask you to get the Notarisation and Apostille on the required documents,
as well as the ID document, and send them to me via regular mail.
Please note that the pre-approval process might take 3-4 weeks!
